Job Summary:
The Physical Therapy Technician is an essential member of the physical therapy team, responsible for assisting Physical Therapists in the provision of patient care, maintaining treatment areas, and in the operation of equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, an understanding of physical therapy practices, and a commitment to team collaboration and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists in the treatment and care of patients, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, and clean up after sessions.
Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients as they practice exercises and functional activities under the direction of medical staff.
Perform clerical duties; maintain therapy equipment and inventory of supplies.
Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing standing support as necessary.
Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other team members.
Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.
Participate in educational sessions to enhance knowledge and professional skills.
Perform other duties as assigned by the physical therapy staff.

Previous experience in a physical therapy clinic or similar setting preferred.
Basic understanding of physical therapy principles, concepts, and methodology.

Physical ability to support and assist patients, including lifting and moving patients as required.
