00 Position Type Faculty Department Information Ending Effective Date of Temporary Employment Department Mathematics Job Duties Responsibility / Duty Teaching – The instructor will teach 15 contact hours with primary assignment of courses at the freshman and/or sophomore level.
Other courses may be assigned based on individual hire’s level of education and/or experience.
Percentage Of Time 60 Responsibility / Duty Research and Scholarly Activity – The instructor will engage in appropriate scholarly activities related to mathematics and/or mathematics pedagogy.
Appropriate activities include research in mathematics/mathematics education, participation in grants, and conference presentations.
Percentage Of Time 20 Responsibility / Duty Service – The instructor will engage in service to the department, college, and university.
Service activities may include committee membership, recruitment efforts, and retention efforts.
